Led by Sustainable Design Pioneer, Phil Smith
As the Founder and Director of Smith Architects, Phil Smith has dedicated his career to creating beautiful, highly sustainable human spaces. A Registered Architect in New Zealand and the UK, Phil’s global perspective was forged at Foster and Partners in London, where he designed landmark environmental projects including New York’s first LEED Gold-rated office building.
Since making New Zealand his home, Phil has become a driving force in the country’s green building movement, serving on the NZ Green Building Council Green Star Advisory Board. Under his guidance, Smith Architects has delivered over 3000 projects across four countries and won more than 40 national and international awards – including the World Green Building Council’s Leadership in Sustainable Design Award.
